Since its inception in 2002, the department of Computer Science and Engineering strives to create quality professionals through interactive teaching methodology. The department has both UG and PG programmes and takes the pride that it is in the largest in the college in terms of student’s strength. The main aim of the department is to provide sound knowledge through theory and practice in engineering and technology to students in a systematic and effective manner.

Goals:Goal (Long Term Short term) Long Term Goal : • To produce top university rank holders • Cent percent of students should be placed in software companies • To enable the students to think beyond syllabus • To enable the students to meet the rising challenges while keeping up the ethical standards
Short term Goal: • To increase the overall pass percentage. • To motivate then students to participate in extra-curricular activities like Symposium, Sports, Culturals. • To shape the overall personality of the student. • To encourage the students to pursue higher education. • To encourage the students to update their technical skills according to the industry expectation. The faculty members of the department have been handling several topics besides the usual engineering mathematics subjects; like Discrete structures , graph theory , probability and random processes , Numerical Analysis ,Engineering Analysis –( I & II ).• The faculty is mainly committed to catering the tools of knowledge required in a most applicable fashion to enable the students to comprehend engineering problems clearly.
